There are plenty of books available to read and enjoy, but one type of book that had a bad reputation for a very long time were books that were written by black authors. These books were ignored for a very long amount of time, simply because the people who wrote them were believed to be less intelligent than they actually were. In truth, however, the black authors that existed in history often had far more interesting stories and poems than their white counterparts.
